National School Sport Week
National School Sport Week is an annual event which this year will take place from 22nd-26th June. It is a celebration of school sport which is open to all schools in the UK.
National School Sport Week is the perfect time for schools to put sport at the heart of school life and inspire their pupils learning and passion by encouraging all their pupils to get involved and do at take part in at least 5 hours of physical activity during the week.
Last year we went with a Scottish theme as the Commonwealth Games were being held in Glasgow.
This years events have been done with an American theme, ending with a thoroughly British theme to Sports Day on Friday!
Year 2 and 3 joined forces and had a training session and mini tournament with a dodgeball team from Blackpool!
Year 4 had fun racing didi cars around a track...Mrs Bolton did too!!
Year 5 had Preston Roller Girls Roller Derby Team come in for a session and taught them how to play sock derby...safer than roller skates!! The kids loved it!!
Year 6 had Preston Pride Basketball Team come in for a training session...they were very tall!!
