Following the results of 2018-2019, the school put in place a rigorous review of the quality of teaching of phonics, and steps were taken to ensure that phonics was to the very highest standard. This was identified in our subsequent Ofsted report who commended us on the quality of the teaching of phonics and the high priority placed on ensuring children can read.
